Abstract

Laplace transform is the concept of transforming a function of time into a function of frequency. For the analysis of continuous time LTI systems, Laplace transform has been used extensively. The variable used in the Laplace transform is s = σ + jΩ, which represents a complex frequency, i.e., it is frequency with a real and imaginary part.
