Editorial Aims and Scope

The Data Envelopment Analysis Journal, the official journal of the International Data Envelopment Analysis Society, publishes theoretical and applied research advancing the use of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) as a methodology for improving organizational performance. The journal’s aim is to provide a channel for communication of new ideas and new insights about the design and use of DEA models.

The journal has a broad scope spanning all areas of analytical and empirical research related to the theory and practice of DEA. It draws on methods from management science, operations research, economics, statistics and other related disciplines. The journal publishes articles on new or improved models for DEA and computational techniques to analyze those models more efficiently. The journal also publishes applications of DEA models in novel ways, and is particularly interested in actual implementation of DEA in organizations. Articles on DEA applications draw on related themes from social and organizational sciences and various functional disciplines in business and management.
